About

Why We Built This Place

We are Lisa and Izzy; sisters, practitioners, and women building businesses of our own. The (Work) Space was born not from a business plan, but from a need we felt deeply. We needed somewhere to work that didn’t drain us. Somewhere to see clients without being tied into a long lease. Somewhere to belong without having to perform.

We couldn’t find it. So, we created it.

A countryside space where work can feel calm. Where practitioners can build their practice without pressure. Where freelancers can create without commuting into the city. A place that makes room for both ambition and rest.

A Different Way to Work

We believe the way we work shapes the way we live. For too long, workspaces have been about speed, noise and competition. The (Work) Space exists to offer something else; focus, choice, community and space to breathe.

Here, you can:

  • Work quietly for hours without distraction

  • Welcome clients in a private, professional setting

  • Step out into fields when your mind needs clearing

  • Be around others who understand the freelance rhythm

This is not a corporate coworking hub.

It is a slower, more human space for people who care about the quality of their work, and how it feels to live alongside it.

BUILT BY PRACTITIONERS

for Practitioners & Independents

Between us, we’ve sat in rented rooms that felt lifeless, worked from dining tables that never switched off, and travelled far for spaces that didn’t feel quite right. Everything here has been designed from lived experience, from the quiet of the rooms to the privacy of the entrances.

We understand:

  • The responsibility of therapeutic work

  • The solitude of freelancing

  • The need for beauty and order

  • The weight of running a business alone

The (Work) Space is our answer to all of it.

The Space Around You Shapes the Work Within You

This patch of land in Burston offered what we couldn’t find elsewhere: space. Real, physical space. Trees, sky, quiet, and the feeling that you could exhale. That feeling is now at the heart of everything we offer, whether you’re here for a workday or to see clients.

Work doesn’t need to be indoors and intense. It can be spacious, grounded, and deeply sustainable.

An Invitation

The Space was never created for busyness. It was built with purpose. A place for work that holds meaning, not noise. You might be building a full practice, or simply looking for somewhere quiet to think. Either way, this space is here to support your work, your clarity, and your breath.

Come and focus. Come and grow. Come and take a breath.
